AT&T is a communications carrier that sells businesses fiber internet, private networks between sites, and wireless and connected-device services. Its own material calls it the world's largest integrated communications provider.
What runs through its business offerings is a carrier that pairs its own network with management, so a buyer can take the circuit alone or hand the equipment and monitoring to AT&T. Its business fiber ships in a single box that carries a 5G backup for when the wired line fails. Its multi-site Ethernet can come as a self-service connection or as a managed service where one on-site device and around-the-clock watching are AT&T's job, not yours. On top of the wired network it sells wireless, connected-device platforms, and security.
Best for
- Businesses buying gigabit fiber that want a wireless backup built into the same box, installed in a few business days.
- Multi-site companies juggling several providers, circuits and devices that want one managed network with the router, firewall and monitoring run for them.
- Manufacturers putting Wi-Fi and connected machines on the factory floor who want the LAN, the devices and the security under one carrier.
- Companies with sites in many countries that want several network functions on one device at each location.
- Fleet operators that need route tracking, maintenance monitoring and driver-hours logging on cellular.
Businesses that only need a single broadband line with no management, and buyers set on a best-of-breed SD-WAN chosen independent of the carrier, will find lighter-weight options elsewhere.
What they offer
Business Connectivity. AT&T Business Fiber, where plans of one gigabit and up include a converged gateway with 5G backup at no extra cost, symmetrical upload and download speeds, no data caps and no annual contract, with install in as little as three business days on online orders. Switched Ethernet on Demand, an Ethernet service that connects sites to each other or to a cloud on one connection and lets customers scale it through a self-service portal. A managed version adds one on-site device for routing, firewall, intrusion prevention, switching and web filtering, watched around the clock with dedicated project management for activation. AT&T also offers private VPN service with built-in disaster recovery and a link into cloud providers called NetBond.
SD-WAN and SASE. A family of SD-WAN services that run over broadband, MPLS or a mix, with AT&T providing central visibility and control. FlexWare consolidates several virtual network functions, such as a router and a firewall, onto one device.
Cloud Phone Systems. A cloud business phone service that replaces copper phone and fax lines and lets staff work from anywhere, and IP Flexible Reach, a voice-over-IP service that carries voice and data on the same connection.
Managed IT. Managed wired and wireless LAN, and managed Wi-Fi for customers and staff.
Managed Security. Endpoint threat monitoring and management with threat hunting and automated response, cybersecurity and connected-device security consulting, and mobile security across devices, apps and content.
Wireless and IoT. Wireless broadband, global SIMs and the LTE-M network for connected devices, the AT&T Control Center for provisioning and managing those SIMs, asset monitoring through one dashboard, and fleet management with GPS routing and electronic logging of driver hours.
The catalog also lists AT&T under Cloud and IaaS, Colocation and Contact Center; those are shelved from the catalog rather than written up here.

Proof
Customer stories AT&T has published, told here without the customer's name.
A data-center construction and management firm of about 350 employees. It runs clients' mission-critical facilities and wanted connectivity with redundancy. It links a client's primary data-center space to a disaster-recovery site at another of its facilities over AT&T Switched Ethernet with Network on Demand, uses AT&T Dedicated Internet for tenants that take an entire data center, and AT&T Business Fiber for smaller footprints.
An IoT and GPS software company with more than 2 million connected devices. It builds asset trackers and fleet tools and needed connectivity that reaches devices underground and deep inside buildings. It runs on AT&T Global SIMs and the LTE-M network and provisions and bills those SIMs through the AT&T Control Center.
A member-owned credit union with about 11,500 members across six branches. It links its branches and its data center over AT&T Switched Ethernet with Network on Demand and holds one branch as a redundant backup, runs endpoint threat monitoring and hunting through AT&T's managed security service, and replaced its copper phone and fax lines with AT&T's cloud phone service.
Other figures on this page are AT&T's own statements: it reports 99 percent reliability for Business Fiber based on network availability, and says FlexWare supports customers with locations in more than 150 countries.
Good to know
- The 5G backup is available in select areas and requires a specific gateway. It does not work during a power loss, though battery backup options may be available, and after 250 GB of use AT&T may slow the backup connection when the network is busy.
- AT&T's device protection for business phones and tablets combines an insurance plan and a service contract, is underwritten by an insurer and administered by Asurion, and covers loss, theft, damage and out-of-warranty malfunction with unlimited claims. Claims and repairs run through Asurion, and enrollment renews monthly until canceled.
- Some of the product sheets behind this page carry 2019 to 2021 dates, while the fiber gateway and device-protection material are from 2024 and 2025. Product names and availability change, so confirm the current offer before you plan around it.

How buying works
The store is the easy part. Staying on the account is the job.
Anyone can show you logos. The reason to buy here is what happens on install night, and on the ticket you open nine months later.
- 01
Build your quote list
Add services and companies as you shop. No form stands between you and the shelf.
- 02
We bring back real options
A person shops the bench against your addresses, then walks you through what fits and what does not.
- 03
We handle the order and install
Paperwork, site survey, install dates, cutover night. You get one thread, not five vendors.
- 04
We stay on your account
Same team for moves, adds, tickets and the next renewal. That is the part everyone else drops.
