Globalgig is a network provider for companies with sites in many countries. It is also a mobile operator whose SIM cards work on hundreds of networks worldwide. It is privately held and based in San Antonio, Texas.
Two ideas run through everything it sells. The first is aggregation: Globalgig buys internet, private network and wireless service from local carriers around the world and hands you one contract, one invoice and one support desk. The second is its own software platform, Orchestra, where you see and control the wireless, SD-WAN, network and voice services it manages.
Best for
- Companies operating in many countries that want one network partner in place of a local carrier in each.
- Businesses that need connectivity where a wired line is impractical: construction sites, kiosks, unattended equipment.
- Fleets, sensors and other connected devices that cross borders and need one SIM and one management console.
- Organizations that want wireless backup for their wired internet as part of a continuity plan.
- Companies moving from a carrier's private network to SD-WAN that want advice across several platforms.
- Expanding firms that do not want a separate wireless contract in every new country.
What they offer
Business Connectivity. Broadband, wireless broadband, dedicated internet access and IP transit, plus private network services such as MPLS and Ethernet private line, sourced and supported under one provider. Managed Network Services adds monitoring, configuration and support in tiers.
SD-WAN and SASE. Managed SD-WAN on a choice of platforms. Its data sheet names Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks and Cisco.
Managed Security. Security is sold as the SASE layer on top of SD-WAN: zero trust access, secure web gateway, firewall, data loss prevention and a cloud access broker. The documents describe no standalone security service.
Managed Mobility. Wireless networking on LTE and 5G as a primary link, a backup or a temporary connection. SIM solutions, including eSIM and multi-network SIMs, reach more than 600 mobile networks in over 200 countries and choose a network automatically by location.
It also offers hosted phone systems and SIP trunking.

Proof
- Globalgig states it is SOC 2 Type II certified.
- It reports 97 percent on-time installation performance in 2022.
- It says it appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies three years in a row, as of its overview document.
Its customer stories withhold the names.
A chemical manufacturer with a 25-site private network. An outage in one country could cut off a business system hosted in another, and its carrier's own SD-WAN project had failed after six months. Globalgig replaced it with an SD-WAN that does not depend on any one carrier.
A food manufacturer supplying national brands. It had outgrown a local provider and was moving its business software to the cloud. Globalgig delivered SD-WAN with broadband and wireless backup, moved it to Microsoft 365 and Azure, and added a hosted phone system.
A fleet management company in the United Kingdom. It tracks vehicles with Globalgig's multi-network SIMs and reports fewer coverage gaps than with a single carrier.
These figures and accounts are Globalgig's own.
Good to know
- Globalgig is a brand of iGEM Communications, the name that will appear on legal paperwork.
- The hardware and SD-WAN software come from other makers. Wireless routers are from Cradlepoint, Peplink and Teltonika.
- Its counts of carrier relationships vary by document and year, from more than 200 to more than 600. The collateral spans roughly 2017 to 2022, so ask for current figures.
- Direct access to senior engineers and the stronger repair-time commitment come only with the higher managed service tiers.
- Design and installation work is billed separately from the managed service.

How buying works
The store is the easy part. Staying on the account is the job.
Anyone can show you logos. The reason to buy here is what happens on install night, and on the ticket you open nine months later.
- 01
Build your quote list
Add services and companies as you shop. No form stands between you and the shelf.
- 02
We bring back real options
A person shops the bench against your addresses, then walks you through what fits and what does not.
- 03
We handle the order and install
Paperwork, site survey, install dates, cutover night. You get one thread, not five vendors.
- 04
We stay on your account
Same team for moves, adds, tickets and the next renewal. That is the part everyone else drops.
