TPx is a managed services provider that runs networks, security, phone systems and everyday IT for businesses across the United States. It states more than 25 years of experience, more than 12,000 customers and more than 38,000 locations.

It groups its work into networking, systems and infrastructure, cybersecurity and collaboration, and delivers each as advice, project work or an ongoing managed service. TPx builds little of the technology itself. It selects internet circuits from many carriers and products from established vendors, then designs, installs, monitors and supports the result for you.

Best for

  • Businesses that want one partner for network, security and phones as they grow.
  • Organizations with many locations, carriers and circuits that want someone else to deal with the carriers.
  • Companies that want IT run for them at a predictable monthly cost instead of hiring for it.
  • IT teams without network or security engineers who still need secure access for remote workers.
  • Firms with HIPAA or PCI obligations that want network configurations aligned to those rules.

What they offer

Business Connectivity. Internet sourcing across the carriers serving each address, at speeds up to 10 gigabits per second over fiber, cable or other carriers' circuits, on one bill for all circuits and locations. Managed WAN and edge security, and managed switches and Wi-Fi, each monitored around the clock.

SD-WAN and SASE. Managed SASE built on Zscaler, with access based on identity in place of older VPNs. You can start with SD-WAN, with the security layer, or with both.

Managed Security. Managed endpoints with patching, antivirus, detection and response and phishing training, plus security assessments, scanning and compliance management.

Cloud Phone Systems and Contact Center. UCx calling delivered through Webex or Microsoft Teams, SIP trunking for existing phone systems, a voice call center and a cloud contact center that handles voice, chat, WhatsApp and email.

Managed IT and Colocation. Managed Microsoft 365, managed backups and data center space with remote hands.

The catalog also lists TPx under Cloud and IaaS and Managed Mobility. The documents available for this page describe neither.

Proof

Customer stories TPx has published, told here without the customer's name.

A California city of about 78,000 that also runs countywide 911 dispatch. It migrated its business phones and emergency lines from PRI and analog to SIP with high-availability SD-WAN. TPx managed two last-mile carriers to deliver redundant SIP trunks with real-time failover between primary and backup answering points, so the city's ten-person IT team could outsource voice rather than add staff.

A contract-rehabilitation healthcare company with about 750 employees running therapy programs in 42 skilled-nursing facilities across six states. It replaced its previous managed services provider with TPx, moving its on-premises file server to the cloud and adding managed firewalls, multi-factor authentication and Microsoft 365, run by TPx rather than its one-person IT team.

A regional senior-meals-delivery nonprofit serving hundreds of thousands of meals a year with a small staff and hundreds of volunteers. It replaced outdated hardlines and fragmented tools with TPx's UCx SmartVoice cloud phone with Webex, giving field staff mobile access and keeping communications running through disruptions such as an office fire.

TPx's own overview counts more than 35,000 managed network endpoints, more than 15,000 protected endpoints and more than 100,000 collaboration users, with support around the clock.

Good to know

  • Only two buyer-facing documents were available for this page, and neither carries a date. Treat it as a map of what TPx does and ask for current detail.
  • Its overview lists compliance with HIPAA, PCI DSS and SOC 2 as a benefit of its services. It does not say whether TPx holds those attestations or helps you meet them. Ask which.
  • Under managed Microsoft 365, TPx bills you for the subscription and is your route to Microsoft support.
  • Networking services can be bought one at a time or as a bundle.
  • The catalog lists coverage in Mexico. The documents mention the United States only.

How buying works

The store is the easy part. Staying on the account is the job.

Anyone can show you logos. The reason to buy here is what happens on install night, and on the ticket you open nine months later.

  1. 01

    Build your quote list

Add services and companies as you shop. No form stands between you and the shelf.

  2. 02

    We bring back real options

A person shops the bench against your addresses, then walks you through what fits and what does not.

  3. 03

We handle the order and install

Paperwork, site survey, install dates, cutover night. You get one thread, not five vendors.

  4. 04

    We stay on your account

Same team for moves, adds, tickets and the next renewal. That is the part everyone else drops.
