  • Network and Voice

Pulsar is a global satellite connectivity carrier that delivers voice, data and broadband to operations beyond the reach of terrestrial networks. Its specialty is the places wired and cellular networks do not reach: ships at sea, remote industrial sites, utilities and fleets. It is a US-licensed international telecommunications carrier and states it owns and runs a fully redundant global network, with aggregation points of presence across three continents and direct connections into the major satellite operators, including Iridium, Inmarsat and Starlink. Because it holds its own internet address ranges and controls the routing end to end, it does not depend on a third party to move a customer's traffic. Alongside raw connectivity it offers edge networking, asset tracking and satellite voice. For a buyer, Pulsar is the option when a location is off the map for normal connectivity.

Best for

  • Operations in remote or moving locations, such as maritime, utilities, energy, mining or agriculture, that terrestrial networks cannot serve.
  • Businesses that need Starlink or traditional satellite service deployed and managed as part of a wider network, rather than a bare dish.
  • Fleets and remote assets that need tracking and low-bandwidth data over satellite, including livestock, vehicles and equipment.
  • Sites that need satellite as a backup path when the primary connection fails.

A company entirely within reach of fiber or cellular does not need Pulsar. Its value is connectivity where ordinary networks stop.

What they offer

Business Connectivity. Mobile and fixed satellite service across the major operators: VSAT on Ku and Ka band, Inmarsat services including Fleet Xpress and NexusWave for maritime, Iridium voice and data, and Starlink enterprise and maritime plans, all carried over Pulsar's own redundant network. Pulsar iO adds edge networking with SD-WAN, security and central cloud management for remote and mobile sites, delivered so that one team owns the hardware, the network and the support together. Satellite VoIP and direct-dial numbers provide phone service where there is no landline.

Wireless and IoT. Satellite-based tracking and low-bandwidth data for remote assets, including fleet, livestock and equipment monitoring in areas with no cellular coverage.

Good to know

  • Pulsar carries traffic over more than one satellite operator's network and its own backbone. Which service fits depends on where you operate, how much bandwidth you need and whether the site is fixed or moving, so expect a consultative design.
  • Satellite connectivity behaves differently from fiber on latency and capacity. Confirm the service level for your specific use, especially for real-time applications.

How buying works

The store is the easy part. Staying on the account is the job.

Anyone can show you logos. The reason to buy here is what happens on install night, and on the ticket you open nine months later.

  1. 01

    Build your quote list

Add services and companies as you shop. No form stands between you and the shelf.

  2. 02

    We bring back real options

A person shops the bench against your addresses, then walks you through what fits and what does not.

  3. 03

We handle the order and install

Paperwork, site survey, install dates, cutover night. You get one thread, not five vendors.

  4. 04

    We stay on your account

Same team for moves, adds, tickets and the next renewal. That is the part everyone else drops.
