Splice Communications is a managed IT and telecom services firm that runs help desk, network management and carrier support for multi-site companies. Its role is to take routine and time-consuming IT work off a company's own team: answering user tickets, monitoring and managing servers and networks, and, distinctively, dealing with the telecom carriers on the customer's behalf. What they offer
Managed and Co-Managed IT. Help desk as a service for end-user requests, a network operations center for monitoring, server management through remote monitoring and management, on-site and field support, backup and disaster recovery, Microsoft 365 migration and administration, and user onboarding and offboarding. Splice can take on all of it or supplement an in-house team.
Backup and Disaster Recovery. A Splice-Datto SIRIS appliance takes image backups of servers and workstations, as often as every five minutes, and copies them to the Splice-Datto cloud. Each backup is a complete bootable image rather than a link in a chain, so a failed server can be started as a virtual machine on the appliance or in the cloud within seconds, and a ransomware infection is handled by rolling the system back to a point before it hit. The appliance proves a backup works by booting it and taking a screenshot, can run your own checks against the booted image, encrypts data with AES-256 in transit and at rest in the cloud, and doubles as network storage with file shares for the office.
Business Connectivity. Telecom carrier and NOC management: Splice works directly with your ISPs and network vendors to open, manage and close tickets and handle outages across many locations, so you deal with Splice instead of each carrier.
