XTIUM is a managed services provider that runs phone systems, contact centers, virtual desktops and security operations for other organizations. It also manages cloud servers and networks, and it aims at mid-sized and large customers. Its address is in Briarcliff Manor, New York.
Much of what it does is built around Microsoft. It is a Microsoft partner and licensing provider, it puts business calling inside Teams, and its security operations service is designed to get more from the Microsoft security tools a customer already pays for. Around that core it offers the services an IT department would otherwise staff itself, from the help desk to technicians on site.
Best for
- Organizations that run on Microsoft Teams and want calling and a contact center inside it.
- Mid-sized enterprises that want one provider for both IT operations and security operations.
- Companies moving to remote and hybrid work, or absorbing an acquisition, that need managed virtual desktops.
- Businesses facing a network hardware refresh, still on MPLS, or unsure their failover works.
- Teams that want to control their own virtual servers without buying hardware, including work that needs high-end graphics processors.
- Retailers, financial firms, manufacturers and healthcare organizations with compliance rules attached to their security monitoring.
What they offer
Cloud Phone Systems. Calling for Microsoft Teams through Direct Routing, in Essentials, Standard and Plus tiers, and a Webex-based phone and meetings service. Both run on XTIUM's own voice network, built on Cisco's BroadWorks platform.
Contact Center. Contact Suite handles calls, texts, email and web chat in one queue and works with Teams. XTIUM also offers Webex Contact Center, and a monitoring service that watches each agent's network and application experience.
Desktop as a Service and Cloud and IaaS. Managed virtual desktops with support around the clock. Virtual servers you configure yourself on a Nutanix platform, and management of servers you already run in the cloud.
Managed Security. A managed security operations center, fully managed or shared with your team, with threat response and forensics at any hour. Managed detection and response, managed SASE and security assessments.
Beyond the catalog shelves it offers managed network services on its XTIUMOne platform, managed SD-WAN, an enterprise service desk, field technicians and professional services.
The catalog also lists XTIUM under Backup and Disaster Recovery. The documents available for this page do not describe that offering.

Proof
- XTIUM states its security operations service is SOC 2 Type 2 audited, and for its managed network services it lists HIPAA, ISO 27001 and an SSAE 18 Type II report.
- It states 99.999 percent availability for its Teams calling service.
- Its field services sheet counts more than 27,000 supported locations and 2,200 vetted technicians, with response options as fast as four hours at any time.
These are XTIUM's own statements. Its customer stories were not available for this page.
Good to know
- The security operations service is described as powered by Ascent, and the cloud platform by Nutanix. XTIUM runs them. Ask what each partner's role is.
- Support for the Teams calling service is based in the United States and available at any hour. XTIUM says it has offered Teams Direct Routing since Microsoft first made it possible.
- Professional services projects follow a fixed path, from assessment and pilot to handover onto its platform.
- The documents give no founding date or company size.

How buying works
The store is the easy part. Staying on the account is the job.
Anyone can show you logos. The reason to buy here is what happens on install night, and on the ticket you open nine months later.
- 01
Build your quote list
Add services and companies as you shop. No form stands between you and the shelf.
- 02
We bring back real options
A person shops the bench against your addresses, then walks you through what fits and what does not.
- 03
We handle the order and install
Paperwork, site survey, install dates, cutover night. You get one thread, not five vendors.
- 04
We stay on your account
Same team for moves, adds, tickets and the next renewal. That is the part everyone else drops.
