  • Network and Voice

ZeroOutages is a secure networking provider whose SD-WAN bonds multiple internet links so a site stays online when one connection fails. A service of XRoads Networks, based in Irvine, California, it builds its SD-WAN on a hardened firewall platform, so security is part of the network rather than an add-on, and it says it has developed its SASE platform over more than ten years. Its patented session-based link bonding combines several ISP connections so bandwidth adds up and traffic keeps flowing over the remaining links without dropping the session. Alongside wired circuits it manages integrated 4G and 5G LTE for automated failover and Starlink over the low-earth-orbit satellite network for locations fixed lines cannot reach. When a link fails, ZeroOutages says it works with the underlying ISP on the customer's behalf.

Best for

  • Businesses where an internet outage stops operations and that want automatic failover across multiple links.
  • Organizations that want SD-WAN with security, LTE failover and Zero Trust access built into one platform rather than added on afterwards.
  • Multi-site or remote operations that need connectivity where wired links are poor or unavailable, including satellite and LTE.
  • Companies that would rather ZeroOutages handle the underlying ISPs during an outage than chase carriers themselves.

A single-site business with one reliable wired connection, or one wanting a full managed-IT relationship, is a weaker fit.

What they offer

SD-WAN and SASE. An enterprise SASE platform built on a hardened firewall: secure SD-WAN with patented session-based link bonding, integrated Zero Trust Network Access delivered through a Sophos partnership, and a secure web gateway with cloud content filtering and SSL inspection. Its Economy .NET bundle adds integrated 4G or 5G LTE with virtual IP addressing for automated failover and failback in front of an existing firewall.

Business Connectivity. Session-based bonding of multiple ISP links for more usable bandwidth and reliability, with automatic failover if a link drops. Managed Starlink over the low-earth-orbit satellite network provides global, low-latency connectivity with quality of service across up to three VSAT links, meshed networking, 24/7 monitoring, onsite installation and virtual IP addressing from more than 50 data centers worldwide, plus other satellite internet for hard-to-reach sites.

Good to know

  • ZeroOutages also offers endpoint security, built on a third-party platform, for companies that want protection bundled with the connection.
  • Its distinctive piece is link bonding and failover, so its value scales with how much downtime would cost you. Confirm which links, and how many, it would bond at each site.
  • Satellite and LTE performance vary by location. Confirm the expected bandwidth and latency for each site before deployment.

How buying works

The store is the easy part. Staying on the account is the job.

Anyone can show you logos. The reason to buy here is what happens on install night, and on the ticket you open nine months later.

  1. 01

    Build your quote list

Add services and companies as you shop. No form stands between you and the shelf.

  2. 02

    We bring back real options

A person shops the bench against your addresses, then walks you through what fits and what does not.

  3. 03

We handle the order and install

Paperwork, site survey, install dates, cutover night. You get one thread, not five vendors.

  4. 04

    We stay on your account

Same team for moves, adds, tickets and the next renewal. That is the part everyone else drops.
