Quest is an IT integrator and managed services provider that runs security, cloud and infrastructure work for other organizations. One of its documents puts its experience at roughly 40 years.
Its range is wide. The same company will monitor your network for attacks, host your servers in its own data centers, run a help desk, place contract IT staff, build custom software, and send its own crews to install fiber and cabling. For a buyer that breadth means one firm can take a project from the wiring to the security monitoring. It also means you should ask which of those lines is a core strength and which is an occasional service.
Best for
- Regulated organizations that need a security program aligned to HIPAA, FISMA, PCI or CMMC.
- Companies deciding whether to keep their own data center or move to a managed cloud.
- Industrial and transportation operators that need the same firewall security at hundreds of sites.
- Defense contractors that need project and service desk software set up to handle controlled information.
- Enterprises that need an outsourced help desk, including for short spikes such as a software rollout.
- Teams short of qualified IT staff for a project with a deadline.
What they offer
Managed Security. A bundled service covering endpoints, email, firewalls and vulnerability management, watched around the clock. Endpoint detection built on Cylance, email security built on Proofpoint, zero trust access for remote users, and an incident response team on call at any hour. A Cybersecurity Checkup Program offers seven configuration reviews, ordered singly or together, which Quest recommends repeating every six months.
Cloud and IaaS. Colocation, private cloud and edge computing from its own Service Delivery Centers, offsite backup and replication, a cloud application platform, and managed services after a cloud migration.
Cloud Phone Systems. Elevate, a cloud phone system with video meetings, chat, contact center and texting in one app.
Beyond those shelves it offers governance and compliance consulting, application development, Atlassian implementation, staff augmentation, a help desk, and network construction.

Proof
- Its help desk answers an average of 40,000 incidents a month and counts Fortune 500 companies among its clients.
- Elevate carries a 99.999 percent uptime commitment with financial backing.
- Security checkup recommendations are delivered within three to seven business days.
- It says it has designed and installed several thousand miles of aerial and underground cable for major carriers.
A global locomotive manufacturer. Quest built and manages firewalls, including redundant pairs, to one standard across more than 250 sites.
A defense contractor. Quest delivered a 54 week rollout of the full Atlassian suite built to NIST 800-171 and CMMC controls.
These figures and accounts are Quest's own.
Good to know
- The security stack uses other makers' products, Cylance and Proofpoint among them. The phone system's features, such as file storage limits and message archiving, differ by license tier.
- Its documents give its history as about 40 years in one place and three decades in another. Most are dated 2023.
- On-call support customers are onboarded the same way as full managed services customers before support begins.
- The legal name on the paperwork is Quest Media and Supplies, Inc.

How buying works
The store is the easy part. Staying on the account is the job.
Anyone can show you logos. The reason to buy here is what happens on install night, and on the ticket you open nine months later.
- 01
Build your quote list
Add services and companies as you shop. No form stands between you and the shelf.
- 02
We bring back real options
A person shops the bench against your addresses, then walks you through what fits and what does not.
- 03
We handle the order and install
Paperwork, site survey, install dates, cutover night. You get one thread, not five vendors.
- 04
We stay on your account
Same team for moves, adds, tickets and the next renewal. That is the part everyone else drops.
