Its managed network service bundles everything a site needs to get online over cellular into one monthly price with no upfront cost: the AirLink router, the cellular data, installation, technical support and proactive monitoring. Because it runs on wireless rather than a wired line, it suits places a fixed circuit is slow to install or as an always-on backup when the primary connection fails. The hardware is Sierra Wireless's own AirLink routers, including the 5G XR80. Sierra Wireless is now part of Semtech. For a buyer, it is a way to get a fully managed cellular connection at a site without buying and running the equipment.
