Tangoe makes software, with services around it, that tracks and reduces what large organizations spend on telecom, mobile devices and cloud. It says it pioneered the category more than 25 years ago and employs more than 1,400 people.
Its platform, Tangoe One, has one application for each kind of spending. The telecom application handles ordering, inventory and invoice checking for fixed lines and circuits. The mobile application runs a fleet of phones and tablets from order to retirement. The cloud application reads usage and cost data from the public clouds each day and looks for savings. What Tangoe sells is management of the bills and the assets behind them.
Best for
- Large enterprises with many carriers and a complicated fixed network that want one system for orders, inventory and invoice audits.
- Organizations with thousands of corporate mobile devices across several carriers.
- Companies running more than one public cloud that need costs put in a common format.
- IT teams worried about unapproved software subscriptions and unused licenses.
- Financial firms, healthcare groups, manufacturers and retailers. Tangoe publishes a brochure for each.
What they offer
Telecom Expense Management. Tangoe One Telecom covers the cycle from order to report, with nearly 400 direct carrier integrations. It is sold in three tiers, Host and Load, Standard and Business, and the fuller audit and dispute work comes with the higher tiers.
Managed Mobility. Tangoe One Mobile covers ordering, inventory, invoices, a help desk open at any hour, and logistics: devices configured, kitted, shipped, repaired and recycled from one location. It connects to ServiceNow in both directions. Device security management is an optional add-on.
Tangoe One Cloud does the same for public cloud spending, and a version for private cloud works with VMware environments only. An advisory team negotiates carrier contracts for customers.
This store files Tangoe under six services, from Business Connectivity to SD-WAN and SASE, and under neither of the two above. The documents available for this page describe none of the six. Tangoe manages the cost of such services for its customers.

Proof
- Tangoe says it manages 14 million mobile devices and serves customers in 206 countries.
- Its cloud product holds the FinOps Certified Platform designation from the FinOps Foundation.
- Its 2025 overview lists four industry awards that year, for cloud cost management and mobile device management.
Its customer stories withhold the names.
An automotive retailer with about 5,000 stores in five business units. It had no single way to track its network circuits, and staff spent 50 hours a week entering carrier invoice changes by hand. Tangoe's telecom application replaced that work.
A large financial institution. It ended its policy of letting staff use personal phones, for security and regulatory reasons. Tangoe bought and prepared 7,000 company-owned devices with management software installed.
A Fortune 500 insurer with more than 17,000 employees. Eight people had been handling device orders, repairs and carrier bills by hand before it moved to Tangoe's managed mobility service.
These figures and accounts are Tangoe's own.
Good to know
- The entry tier hosts your data and loads your invoices. Order management, validated inventory and dispute handling need a higher tier, so compare tiers against the work you want taken off your hands.
- The standard cloud package is set up for you and then run by your own team. A fully managed option exists.
- Tangoe counts close to half of the Fortune 500 among its customers. It is built for large estates, and a small company is unlikely to need it.

How buying works
The store is the easy part. Staying on the account is the job.
Anyone can show you logos. The reason to buy here is what happens on install night, and on the ticket you open nine months later.
- 01
Build your quote list
Add services and companies as you shop. No form stands between you and the shelf.
- 02
We bring back real options
A person shops the bench against your addresses, then walks you through what fits and what does not.
- 03
We handle the order and install
Paperwork, site survey, install dates, cutover night. You get one thread, not five vendors.
- 04
We stay on your account
Same team for moves, adds, tickets and the next renewal. That is the part everyone else drops.
