Sinch is a communications platform and voice carrier that provides programmable messaging, SIP trunking, voice termination and toll-free numbers. It works at two levels. Underneath, it is a carrier that carries voice and messages over its own network, a capability strengthened by its acquisition of a US voice provider. On top of that, it offers a communications platform, or CPaaS, that lets a company build messaging and voice into its own applications, from an SMS notification to a two-way conversation. For a buyer, Sinch is the plumbing that moves voice and messages at scale, whether as wholesale-grade voice services for a phone system or as APIs a developer builds into software, rather than an off-the-shelf phone or contact center product.
Best for
- Companies that need carrier-grade voice services, SIP trunking, toll-free numbers or voice termination, at scale and quality.
- Businesses whose applications send high volumes of SMS or run two-way messaging with customers.
- Organizations that need number porting and robocall-mitigation compliance handled by the carrier.
- Developers building voice or messaging into their own software rather than buying a packaged product.
A small business that just wants a ready-made phone system or a simple contact center will find Sinch's carrier and developer-oriented model more than it needs.
What they offer
Cloud Phone Systems. A complete voice solution from one provider over Sinch's own network: SIP trunking for local and long-distance calling, direct voice termination, toll-free numbers, number porting, a fax API, and STIR/SHAKEN with robocall mitigation for caller-ID trust and compliance.
CX and Conversational AI. A communications platform for conversational messaging across channels, including SMS and MMS, that a company builds into its applications and customer journeys through APIs.

Good to know
- Sinch operates as both a carrier and a developer platform. Building messaging or voice into your applications usually takes development work, so scope that effort, and note that carrier and messaging fees apply on top.
- Its US voice depth comes largely from an acquired carrier, so a buyer may encounter that provider's name on voice services.
- Product names here are the company's own material.

How buying works
The store is the easy part. Staying on the account is the job.
Anyone can show you logos. The reason to buy here is what happens on install night, and on the ticket you open nine months later.
- 01
Build your quote list
Add services and companies as you shop. No form stands between you and the shelf.
- 02
We bring back real options
A person shops the bench against your addresses, then walks you through what fits and what does not.
- 03
We handle the order and install
Paperwork, site survey, install dates, cutover night. You get one thread, not five vendors.
- 04
We stay on your account
Same team for moves, adds, tickets and the next renewal. That is the part everyone else drops.
