Telefónica Global Solutions is the arm of the Telefónica Group that sells networks, voice, cloud and security to multinational companies. It also rents data center space. Buyers in the United States meet it mostly for one reason: Latin America and Spain.

That is where the group runs its own networks. Its international capacity rides on Telxius, a sister company that operates submarine cables between the Americas and Europe, and its data centers sit in Miami, São Paulo and Madrid. A company expanding south, or a Latin American company reaching north, can buy from an operator that owns the route.

Best for

  • Multinationals with offices across Latin America, Spain and the United States that want one carrier for all of them.
  • Companies that must keep data inside Latin America for regulatory reasons.
  • Operations in remote places, such as mines, oil fields and farms, that can only be reached by satellite.
  • Carriers and content companies that need capacity or rack space on the routes between the Americas and Europe.
  • Large enterprises that want web security and firewalls run for them as a service.
  • Businesses with cellular-connected devices deployed in many countries.

What they offer

Business Connectivity. A global MPLS private network with six classes of service, Ethernet links between sites, dedicated internet and broadband, private connections into the large public clouds, and satellite service for sites nothing else reaches.

SD-WAN and SASE. Managed SD-WAN that routes by application across MPLS, internet and mobile links, with a help desk staffed around the clock in the fully managed option.

Managed Security. Security Edge, a cloud web security and zero trust access service. Virtual Firewall, a firewall delivered from the network without new hardware at your site. Vulnerability scanning and testing.

Cloud and IaaS. A Virtual Data Center billed by use, plus managed access to AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud with one point of contact.

Colocation. Racks, cages and rooms in its data centers in Miami, São Paulo, Madrid and, more recently, London.

Cloud Phone Systems. Global SIP trunking with local numbers in more than 150 countries and connections into Microsoft Teams.

It also manages cellular connectivity for connected devices on its own platform, called Kite.

Proof

  • The capacity factsheet describes a network of 94,000 kilometers of submarine cable. A network map dated January 2025 puts cable and land routes together at more than 100,000 kilometers.
  • Colocation availability is stated as above 99.95 percent. Its platform sheet rates the Miami facility Tier III and the Madrid facility Tier IV.
  • The SIP trunk sheet claims 99.999 percent availability.
  • The satellite business counts more than 17,000 satellite connections and won the Satellite Telecoms Award at the World Communication Awards 2024.

A European retailer with more than 470 sites in nine countries. It needed a second, diverse fixed network and guaranteed bandwidth at each store on a specific SD-WAN technology. Its mobile operator brought Telefónica Global Solutions in to deliver it.

These figures are Telefónica's own.

Good to know

  • Several services run on other companies' technology: Security Edge on Zscaler, Virtual Firewall on Fortinet and the Virtual Data Center on VMware.
  • The documents come from two periods, and the counts differ between them. One sheet lists 11 satellite teleports and another 10. Ask for current figures.
  • Reach outside its home regions depends on partner carriers. The dedicated internet sheet counts 91 partner providers. Ask who delivers the last mile in each country you care about.
  • No document available for this page gives the company's headquarters, founding date or headcount.

How buying works

The store is the easy part. Staying on the account is the job.

Anyone can show you logos. The reason to buy here is what happens on install night, and on the ticket you open nine months later.

  1. 01

    Build your quote list

Add services and companies as you shop. No form stands between you and the shelf.

  2. 02

    We bring back real options

A person shops the bench against your addresses, then walks you through what fits and what does not.

  3. 03

We handle the order and install

Paperwork, site survey, install dates, cutover night. You get one thread, not five vendors.

  4. 04

    We stay on your account

Same team for moves, adds, tickets and the next renewal. That is the part everyone else drops.
