Vodafone is a global carrier whose United States arm sells international businesses connectivity, SD-WAN, SIP voice and connected-device services. Its one-pager says the group was established in the United Kingdom in 1984 and has operated in the United States since 2005.
The pitch to a United States buyer is reach. Vodafone says it serves more than 340 million mobile and fixed customers in 15 countries, partners with mobile networks in more than 40 others, and serves 4.7 million enterprises. Its network figures: wide area network service in 192 countries, more than 275 points of presence, over 1 million kilometers of land fiber, dedicated internet access in 132 countries, IP-VPN in 74 and 5G in 93. For a company with offices on several continents, that footprint is the reason to look.
Best for
- Companies based in the United States with offices abroad that want one carrier and one contract for sites on several continents.
- Organizations that want one centrally managed voice service across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.
- Companies with employee phones and tablets spread across the United States and Europe that want one provider to source, set up, repair and retire them.
- Businesses running connected devices, such as meters, vehicles or sensors, that need SIMs that switch networks automatically to stay covered.
- Multi-site enterprises replacing an older wide area network with SD-WAN, run for them or shared with their own team.
What they offer
Business Connectivity. An internet portfolio of dedicated internet access, global internet delivered through Vodafone's local operating companies and partners, IP transit for carriers, and broadband for customers with sites in the United Kingdom. Business mobile on 4G and 5G. Resilient service options scale from 10 megabits to 10 gigabits per second.
SD-WAN and SASE. Vodafone Business SD-WAN connects sites to each other and to the cloud over Vodafone or third-party links, including internet and 4G or 5G, as a managed or co-managed service. Secure access service edge is delivered through its points of presence and SD-WAN gateways.
Cloud Phone Systems. Global SIP replaces traditional phone lines and merges an organization's worldwide voice traffic into one service, with number porting, encrypted calls, rerouting and disaster recovery, and online reporting.
Vodafone also sells device lifecycle management for employee devices across 28 European markets and the United States, bought outright or leased for 12 to 36 months, plus a managed connectivity platform and a managed analytics service for connected devices.
The catalog also lists Vodafone under Cloud and IaaS and Managed Security. The documents describe Cloud Connect, a gateway from your sites into public and private clouds, and security features built into its products, such as call encryption and secure device wipes. They describe no cloud hosting and no standalone managed security service.

Proof
- Vodafone says it carries over a fifth of the world's internet traffic, which it says places it in the top five internet providers, and that it holds capacity on more than 80 subsea cable systems.
- It says it handles more than 2 billion voice over IP minutes a month and connects more than 187 million devices on its IoT platform.
- Its IoT processes are described as meeting ISO 9001, and it says 96 percent of devices in its lifecycle program get a second life, extending use by up to five years.
- Its SD-WAN presentation counts 45,000 managed customer devices and 2,300 global customers. Both figures carry footnotes the document does not spell out.
One of Australasia's major banks. Operating in more than 30 markets, it wanted a cloud-first setup with more flexible connectivity after the pandemic accelerated its plans. Vodafone deployed its SD-WAN with internet underlay.
These figures and the account are Vodafone's own.
Good to know
- Global SIP is delivered directly by Vodafone in the United States, Canada and 18 named countries in Europe and Asia Pacific, and through an agency model elsewhere. Ask which applies at each of your sites.
- The enterprise broadband product is only for customers with United Kingdom sites.
- Device lifecycle orders run through one self-service portal, with an optional direct link into your own ordering and service systems.
- Scale figures differ between documents and years, for example 187 million against 215 million connected devices. The documents here run from 2022 to 2024.
- The collateral is written for international companies. A buyer with sites only in the United States should ask what the local footprint looks like.

How buying works
The store is the easy part. Staying on the account is the job.
Anyone can show you logos. The reason to buy here is what happens on install night, and on the ticket you open nine months later.
- 01
Build your quote list
Add services and companies as you shop. No form stands between you and the shelf.
- 02
We bring back real options
A person shops the bench against your addresses, then walks you through what fits and what does not.
- 03
We handle the order and install
Paperwork, site survey, install dates, cutover night. You get one thread, not five vendors.
- 04
We stay on your account
Same team for moves, adds, tickets and the next renewal. That is the part everyone else drops.
